Our History

In 1957, our parent company P/Kaufmann was founded by the legendary Peter Kaufmann, who came to the US from Europe to learn a new business; the manufacturing and selling of fabrics for home furnishings. The reputation and the integrity of the founder attracted talented designers, this talent, combined with our experience and vast knowledge of textiles has made P/Kaufmann one of the largest fabric companies in the industry.

As the company expanded over the years, it only seemed natural to include a division that would cater exclusively to the hospitality industry, so in 1982 P/Kaufmann Contract was created. Since, we have furnished quality textiles for hotels, casinos, cruise ships and restaurants around the world. Our hotel projects range from luxury five-star properties to value-oriented standards programs. Offering our customers a range of beautiful in-line and custom textiles at a value is what makes P/Kaufmann Contract a very valued source within the industry.
